- Pros: Vegan friendly, lots of recipes, mouth-watering photos
- Cons: A hint of elitism, products advertised/promoted tend to be costly
If you're looking for inspiration for your vegan lifestyle, look no further than Vegetarian Times magazine. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a newcomer, Vegetarian Times has something for everyone. There are dozens of recipes every issue, and a few of them always turn out to be downright tasty. I would avoid the adverts and product reviews unless you have lots of money burning holes in your pockets -- some of them are just expensive, others are simply insulting.

I was hoping for more from Vegetarian Times. I didn't find many recipes to use for my family.

- Pros: Great recipes and articles each issue.
- Cons: Can't think of any ;)
I look forward to each issue of Vegetarian Times when it comes in. I will sit down and add the new dishes to my menu for the week. I have enjoyed every one. And if you want to find the recipe real quick you can look it up online.

- Pros: Many ideas and recipes for the serious vegetarian
- Cons: Needs tweaking for the vegetarian family
The products, recipes, and ideas in Vegetarian Times magazine are wonderful for adding variety to the some times repetitive vegetarian diet. Our 9-year-old vegetarian in the family is less interested; it is understandable that the magazine is geared towards the adult, who does the cooking and buying for the family. I was able to tweak a few recipes to suit the whole family (as with any). An idea to further propel Vegetarian Times into today's less upscale vegetarian audience may be to introduce a magazine directly focused on the vegetarian family and/or the vegetarian child. The vegetarian family is still kooky but no longer an oddity in America or even other parts of the world.

- Pros: Good balance of innovation and basic techniques
- Cons: Quite a few ads for such a thin magazine
As a new vegetarian and an experienced cook, I really appreciate the balance Vegetarian Times magazine offers in terms of recipes. In every issue I find helpful tips and basic cooking instructions for foods that are becoming every day staples as well as a few unique ingredients or uncommon preparation ideas that open me up to new food experiences. I also find it a useful health resource as the articles and spotlighted foods are focused on helping readers achieve optimal nourishment and holistic health. The magazine is also an excellent place to find companies and products that support my values and enhance my lifestyle choices.
