I have first read Marie Claire magazine in the early 90s in Germany. I loved it then, and I love it now. It covers everything women are interested in. It's one of the best magazines available.

  • Pros: medium-length articles, personal stories, fashion ideas
  • Cons: high-price fashion

Marie Claire magazine always has 1-2 interesting and relevant articles per issue. The fashion content gives good ideas, even though most of the items are extravagantly priced. Great personal experience & life story articles by the average female, and the occasional male. The product reviews for skin & hair care and make-up are a hit or miss, but I haven't found any that were always right on. This magazine has a little of everything: sophisticated fashion (on a very high budget), occasional recipes, decent product reviews, celeb interviews. As a grad student, this is my reading material when I'm not studying!
